How to Get There

The best way to get to Nottingham from London is by train. The journey time is just over 2 hours and the cost is about £120 return (with a Railcard). You can find more information about train times and prices on the National Rail website.

Some buses run between Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester which stop at our venue so you may want to look into those if you want an alternative route.

You can also walk or cycle all or part of the way! The journey takes around 5 hours but it’s a nice scenic route with lots of open countrysides along the way if you fancy taking this option!

Unit 13 has been created to bring together music and art

There’s a new creative space in Nottingham and it’s called Unit 13. The unit has been created to bring together music and art, to create an environment where artists can collaborate on their work.

To me, this is exciting because it provides a place for musicians to come together and create something new as well as providing a platform for local artists to express themselves through their craft. It also gives people who don’t necessarily have access to many resources (like art studios) an opportunity to learn more about music production in general, which could lead them down any number of paths ranging from sound engineering/mixing/mastering/production etc…

The reason why I think this is so important is that it inspires young people who may be interested but don’t know where or how they will fit into this world long-term – whether that be through playing instruments or producing tracks themselves!

Event & Performance Space

Unit 13 is a performance space, a music venue, and a gallery. It’s also a bar. It hosts art exhibitions and events every day of the week. The space itself is large with high ceilings, so it doesn’t feel like you’re in your typical pub or bar environment when you go there—it feels more like an event space than anything else!

The performances are often experimental: one evening I saw an artist playing the violin while wearing roller skates! There was also a percussionist with giant metal balls attached to their hands on stage as well as drums that were made from metal containers of various sizes hanging from strings (they sounded amazing). It was very cool indeed!
