Nottingham is a city in the East Midlands of England. It is located within the Nottingham City Council area and lies on the River Trent, to which it gives its name. The city has a population of about 323,000 (as of 2016), making it the largest settlement in the wider Nottingham urban area, which has a population of around 1 million people. But how far is Nottingham?

Nottingham is 2560 miles from the North Pole.

Nottingham is 2560 miles from the North Pole. It’s a large city in the East Midlands of England, and it’s home to the largest theatre complex outside London. Nottingham is also the county town of Nottinghamshire—the seventh largest county in England by area.

Nottingham is 9878 miles from the South Pole.

You may be surprised to know that the South Pole is 9878 miles from Nottingham. That’s right if you travelled to the South Pole and then took a direct flight back to your hometown, you’d be arriving in Nottingham approximately a week and a half later.

The South Pole is located at 90 degrees south latitude, which means that it’s exactly halfway between the Equator (where it is always summer) and the North Pole (where it is always winter). If you were able to fly directly over this point on Earth’s surface, you would see all of Antarctica below you—and nothing else!

Nottingham is 6924 miles from the equator.

The equator is an imaginary line that divides the earth into the northern and southern hemispheres. It’s also the only line of latitude on earth that is equally distant from both the north and south poles (which are located at 90 degrees to each other).

So why do we use it as a measurement? Well, if you were to stand at any point along its path, you would be perpendicular to this imaginary line.

In addition, if you were standing at one end of this line, your head would always be pointed toward either north or south depending on where in their respective hemispheres they were situated—meaning that a person could always tell which direction he was facing without having any idea where he was located geographically speaking! Pretty cool huh?

Nottingham is 4970 miles from New York City.

If you’re curious, we can tell you that the distance between New York City and Nottingham is 4970 miles.

But what are those numbers telling us? Well, it depends on which time zone we’re talking about.

New York City is located in the Eastern Time Zone, which means you add an hour to London and 4 hours to Sydney for every time zone away from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). So if it’s 10 am in London or Sydney, it’s 11 am in New York City.

The Eastern Daylight Time Zone makes things even more confusing. Daylight saving begins on the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November every year—but this also changes depending on whether you’re travelling northward or southward.

For example: If it’s 8 am when it becomes daylight savings time in your hometown, then 9 am will be 2 pm when travelling northward but 1 pm when travelling southwards!
